I made it in two kinds of white linen from my stash, one a plain weave
and one a jacquard. I think the latter was from Gayfeather Fabrics in Madison, WI
This was a fun pattern to make with all the pleats and tucks, kind of like origami. I left off the collar and just used the collar stand pattern. And, I've been making a size down from the Large I usually make on K. TIlton patterns very successfully lately.
Love it! The white linen combo was a great idea, as was the collar band and the pants pairing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind remarks, Gayle. Enjoy your blog
DeleteAnother winner, I love the combo too and black and white can't be beat. Now you have to start from scratch:)
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to new projects, for sure. Thanks for all the great feedback!
DeleteGreat pairing of fabrics and pattern. Love this. I usually stay away from linen because it wrinkles so much but this big shirt is perfect for it. I need to rethink!
ReplyDeleteYes, I didn't even press this before photography took place. I think it looks and drapes best slightly rumpled. And, linen is so cool in our 85 degree weather!
